Friday 4/19:  Book Fair Set Up

Monday 4/22 and Tuesday 4/23:  Book Fair Preview Days

Wednesday 4/24:  Grandparents/Generations Day 8:45-11am!  Students are welcome to visit the book fair with their Grandparents/visitors to buy

Thursday 4/25 and Friday 4/26:  Students can visit the book fair with their classes to buy

Many volunteers are needed to host the spring book fair– from set up on Fri, Apr.19 until pack up on Fri, Apr.26!  Please sign up for multiple time slots as we can never have enough help! All For Books donors receive ice pops during their lunch period (so a volunteer is also needed in the cafeteria!)  Thank you in advance for your support of this important literacy initiative!

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Are participants permitted to run either distance?

A: Yes!  Deer’ may dash for 1 mile, and Fawns may dash the 5K.  The distance is up to each participant.  Last year we even had some deer dash in BOTH events!

Q: Are older/younger Fawns able to participate?

A: Yes!  This is a family event, so bring the whole herd!

Q: Will I be able to register at the race, or must I pre-register?

A: We strongly encourage pre-registration so that we can get an idea of the number of deer planning to attend.  We would like to have an idea of how many deer are interested.  You will be able to register on race day as well.

Q: Will I be permitted to participate if I am grumpy?

A: Yes, however, all grumpy, surly, and otherwise uncooperative deer will be required to dance the Cupid Shuffle in front of the group prior to the start of the dash.

7DE’s VEGAS IN THE VALLEY

Mrs. Nestor's 5th Olympic Reading Relay will be held in the gym at Hereford High School on Wed. February 20th from 6:30-8:00!





Still not sure what the Reading Relay is?  It's a BLAST for everyone involved-your kids will have a great time!

Come and cheer on our 7DE kids, staff, and parent teams as they race through fun games like hula hoop loops and dizzy bubble gum battles-think a giant Pep Rally to celebrate the reading accomplishments of our school!





Students can wear their 7DE spirit wear and/or their favorite team's colors:





The Green Team:  K, 1st, and 2nd grade

The White team:  3rd, 4th and 5th grade 

The Blue Team:  Special Area Teachers and Administration

The Orange Team and The Purple Team:  Parents





Tickets are $2 at the door and all proceeds go towards Mrs. Nestor's goal of bringing author Jackie Urbanovic to 7DE!

The kids have off from school on Monday, January 28.  What are you going to do with them?!  Answer:  Bring them to 7th District's Winter Blast at Avalanche Xpress.  Avalanche Xpress at Heritage Hills in York, PA will be opening early for 7th District on Monday, January 28 for snow tubing!!!  Tickets are a discounted rate of $18 per person, and $5 per person will go back to our school!  You can also combine snow tubing and ice skating for $20.  Please bring a copy of this flyer with you when you purchase your tickets, and be sure to let them know you are with 7th District Elementary.  Please feel free to invite family members and friends!  The more people who come, the more money we raise!  See you there!
